Our
consulatations and evaluations are designed to provide solutions on
the spot and recommendations for the futrure. Consultation's and evaluations are
done on a hourly basis and as we are proactive we are not able to offer
these services free of charge. While at your home we observe while listening;
and training begins while we are there, from the moment we walk through
the door. At times we do recommend additional visits or a training program,
if we feel it is to the benefit of the owner and the best intrest of
the dog and we take the time necessary to explain the why's of our recommendations.
I do not offer over the phone training; it is dangerous, incomplete
and ineffective. Each dog is an individule and each situation unique
therefore we only give training directions and advice after we have
met you and your dog and evaluated the situation. I do provide phone
support to any active clients with questions or problems, this includes
questions that may arise following a consultation - evaluation visit.
Our policy on aggressive dog issues is simple; aggressive behavior needs
to be stopped and the sooner the better. Obviously it is best if the owner
call prior to the problem reaching dangerous proportions. The majority
of dog aggression can be turned around with proper direction and training
although it is not possible, in my opinion, to correct an aggression issue
in one visit, so in these instances I do strongly recommend additional training.
If your dog is showing dominate aggression then it is best to deal with the
problem at the on-set and not after he has chased down and bitten another
dog or human. Call a professional trainer. You can not fix this problem
reading a book or watching a video, and young dogs do not "grow out" of
aggressive behavior, they grow in to it; you need an active solution.
